For an order from Rheinmetall AG, toolcraft made use of the complete additive manufacturing process chain. Components were manufactured for the launcher unit of the TSWA (turret-independent secondary weapon system), which is mounted on the rear section of the German army’s Puma infantry fighting vehicle. The individual components were then joined on the LMD system by means of laser welding with the addition of powder and further machined to ensure they had the required tolerances.
